What is Knoxville Restaurant Week?
Knoxville Restaurant Week is a special week-long dining event in which select restaurants will prepare a three-course, fixed-price menu ranging from $25 to $35 per person. A $5 donation from each special Knoxville Restaurant Week meal purchased will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.
When is Knoxville Restaurant Week?
Knoxville Restaurant Week is Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, through Friday, March 1, 2013.
How do I know which restaurants and businesses are participating?
A list of participating restaurants can be found here. Just click on a specific restaurant logo to find location, phone numbers, website links and special Restaurant Week menu options.
Who benefits from Restaurant Week?
Customers. Knoxville Restaurant Week is a great way for customers to try new restaurants or to revisit their favorites, often at a reduced price.
Restaurants. This event aims will bring additional customers through the doors during a typically slow time of year for restaurants.
Second Harvest Food Bank. Second Harvest Food Bank receives a $5 donation for each Restaurant Week meal purchased. This event not only provides a great value on quality restaurants, but also helps support an organization dedicated to feeding the hungry in our 18-county service area.
What is Second Harvest Food Bank?
Second Harvest distributes food to roughly 158,000 hungry people every month through a network of partner agencies throughout East Tennessee. These non-profit organizations are dedicated to feeding the hungry and include church pantries, shelters, group homes, local kitchens, after-school programs, rehabilitation centers and many others such as FISH, Salvation Army, Western Heights, Open Arms and Good Shepard. Without support from Second Harvest Food Bank, many of the nearly 500 agencies would not be able to operate.
Do I need a ticket to attend the event?
A ticket is not required; however, reservations are highly recommended as restaurants fill up quickly.
When should I make a reservation?
Since this is a highly anticipated event, it is best to make a reservation as early as possible. We recommend calling seven to 10 days in advance for reservations.
Will the menu vary at each restaurant?
Yes. Knoxville Restaurant Week brings together a variety of diverse menus.
